Brussels Sprouts Recipe – Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Caramelized Apple

12-16 oz Brussels sprouts, trimmed and quartered
1 small Fuji apple, peeled and diced
1 shallot, peeled and minced
2 tsp fresh thyme
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp fresh cracked black pepper

Roasted Brussels Sprouts Directions

1) Peel, trim and quarter the Brussels sprouts
2) Preheat the oven to 375˚
3) Preheat a large sauté pan with olive oil over medium heat
4) Drop the shallot into the sauté pan, sauté until soft
5) Add the apple and Brussels sprouts and mix
6) Add in the pepper and thyme
7) Sauté until the edges of the apples are slightly brown = 5-8 minutes
8) Spray a baking sheet, then lay out the sautéed Brussels and Apples
9) Bake 15-20 minutes, or until the Brussels are fork tender
