Tilapia Fish Tacos Ingredients

The Fish
4 6-8oz tilapia filets (or mahi mahi filets)
1 tsp whole grain flour
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika (use smoked paprika for better flavor)
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
⅛ tsp oregano
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper

Tilapia Fish Tacos Directions

1. Mix all ingredients except for the filets (you can make extra seasoning and use it later; store in airtight container)
2. Sprinkle the filets with the seasoning; do not over coat it, but do not skimp it
3. Preheat a pan with the olive oil on medium heat
4. Lay the filets on the pan, spaced apart from each other so they are not touching
5. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side
6. Remove fish and place on a plate and

The Sauce
½ cup Plain Yogurt (or ¼ cup low fat mayo & ¼ cup low fat yogurt)
⅓ cup Fat Free Sour Cream
¼ cup Low Fat Cultured Buttermilk (can add more if needed for creamier sauce)
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
2-3 tbsp fresh minced chives
¼-½ tsp cumin (to taste; if you do not like cumin, use less)
Touch of Sea Salt
Fresh Cracked Black Pepper (to your taste)

1) Mix all ingredients until they have reached a creamy consistency; add more buttermilk if needed
2) The sauce is better if you let it sit overnight or at least 2 hours
Assembly

Corn Tortillas
Shredded Cabbage
**Optional: thinly sliced red onions**

1. Lightly heat the tortillas in the oven at 175* wrapped in aluminum foil with a damp paper towel
2. Then lay a piece of the filet on the tortilla, then cabbage, and then sauce (onions last if using)
3. ENJOY
